Cairns Local business specialising in furniture and office supplies are looking to employ an Admin Assistant who is the first point of contact to their customers, a PA to the Office Manager and general office support. 

The Company

The local employer is a family run business who treats their staff with care and respect. This business has strong ties to the local community. They offer customise furniture to offices, hospitality businesses and schools as well as offer largest variety of stationery suppliers to their customers. They pride themselves on delivering unique solutions and excellent customer service.

The opportunity

No day is the same in this exciting and varied role. This role is in a fast-paced environment and the core focus is to help the business making a lasting impression on its customers with professional, helpful and friendly service excellence.

Your busy day will include assisting customers, quotation, sales and looking after the reception. There are also administrational tasks such as client correspondence, database input, answering phones etc.

As part of the superior customer service you will also provide detailed, up to date information on the products. (Training will be provided)

Working times are 8.30-5pm Mon- Fri, with WEEKENDS OFF.

Essential Skills Needed

To be considered for this role, you’ll need the following skills and attributes:

  • Passionate and committed to providing excellent customer service
  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Strong administration and reception skills
  • Experience in retail industry, within office suppliers will be highly regarded
  • Good computer literacy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite especially Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge of accounting software preference in MYOB or Xero
  • Working is retail databases knowledge of Pronto will be highly regarded
  • Team player enjoys working with others
  • Pride in personal presentation
  • Happy and bubbly disposition
