The Job

The purpose of this position is to manage the key functions of the business to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. This position is Monday to Friday 9 till 5 and you will be reporting to the CEO.

Key Accountabilities:

Organisational

  • Ensure all company policies, procedures are up to date and work effectively as well as all Work Health and Safety laws and related company policies and procedures are always followed
  • Promote and follow organisational values in a professional manner
  • Maintain compliance according to regulatory bodies

Administrational Management

  • Provide administrative input to ensure the smooth day to day running of the operation
  • Attend monthly Board meeting, offer support, and take minutes
  • Identify and resolve problems related to the IT infrastructure, operating systems, business software and applications
  • Implement and oversee projects 

Human Resources

  • Administer HR/WHS policies and procedures for the business, ensuring legal compliance in all areas (including record keeping and training)
  • Coordinate Volunteers and Staff
  • Coordinate travel plans for artists, meeting deadlines and budgeted costs
  • Employee Relationship Management

Finance Management

  • Support the Finance department and some bookkeeping functions
  • Coding input and payroll processing
  • Data entry into Xero
  • Assist with the preparation of Budgets

Contribute to continuous improvement

  • Reviewing current systems, processes, and procedures to identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency
  • Continuously improve own capabilities.

How will you succeed in this role?

  • Extensive experience in accounts and administration management within a not-for-profit organisation
  • Project management skills
  • Tertiary business qualifications desirable
  • Computer savvy with a good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite on a Mac platform, Xero, project management software, CRM and internet-based applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower others
  • Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage several jobs at once and determine priorities
  • Well-developed problem-solving capabilities.
  • Culturally aware and a respect towards our first nation people
  • Current driver’s license and national police check
