The Position:

You will be responsible for running a section in a very busy all day dining restaurant offering, breakfast, lunch and dinner with lovely selections of  desserts for morning and afternoon tea. You and your team’s mission is to deliver an exceptional experience for your guests. Starting from a warm and sincere welcome, to suggesting food and beverage items and of course, providing attentive, friendly and professional service to a high standard.  

Your ability to remain calm under pressure will enable you to showcase your excellent all-round knowledge about food and wine and explain daily specials etc in this fast-paced environment. 

The venue is open 7 days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Your shifts will vary, however be prepared to work split shifts. This is a Permanent, Full-time position under the Restaurant and Catering award, which includes penalties for shift work and weekends. The roster is well balanced to suit you and the operation. 

Ideally, you will have:

• Solid experience in a busy, high volume venue that offers a la carte 
• The ability to thrive under pressure and love a busy environment
• Passion and knowledge about food and wine
• Strong customer service practices
• Attention to detail and a willingness to be part of a fun and professional team

 Essentials

• Experience within a busy a la carte restaurant environment and capable of running your own section
• Professional and friendly customer service skills
• Good wine knowledge and ability to serve wine in the correct way
• Able to carry 3 hotplates, full drink tray and clear a table of 4 in one go
• Experience with POS Systems
• Energetic, passionate, happy and reliable approach to work
• RSA Certificate
• Barista experience is an advantage
