The office is situated in Bungalow, where everyone contributes to a fun, friendly, yet professional work environment.They deliver commercial and residential construction, renovations, refurbishment as well as commercial property management to large national corporations as far as Weipa and Mt Isa.  

 

What does the role entail? 

Reporting to the business owner, your core responsibility is bookkeeping, contract management and general administration. This is a full-time role working Monday through to Friday from 8:30 to 16:00, however the hours of work can be flexible to suit you. As this is a small office and the business owners have a hands-on approach, you will require to be in the office on your own at times.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Accounts Payable, Receivable and Payroll
  • Preparation and Lodging of BAS, PAYG, Super and QLeave
  • Monthly and yearly reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Credit Control 
  • Inventory and asset management
  • Ensuring all company legislative requirements are met; including ATO/Tax, insurance, WHS, Workcover
  • Contract Management
  • Preparation for audits
  • Assisting with quotes
  • General office administration duties

Skills & experience needed: 

To be considered for this role you need the following skills and attributes: 

  • All aspects of bookkeeping and sound accountancy principles
  • Solid computer skills, including Mac & excel skills
  • Professional and friendly disposition 
  • Positive and healthy approach to life

 

Good interpersonal and time management skills are essential in this position, as is the ability to work under limited direction.

Experience with software such as BizPrac/Toolbox/E-Docs will be highly regarded
