The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your mission is to oversee and control the revenue accounting and recording for all funds received into the hotel.
Some of things you will be doing in your new role:
- Independently Audit the revenue measurement and control of the hotel
- Ensure all revenue is collected from various income streams
- Manage the extension of credit, and to ensure the prompt collection of accounts receivable
- Maintain and distribute an up-to-date listing of approved customer accounts.
- Ensure invoices and statements are on a timely basis.
- Respond to customer and management queries regarding accounts.
- Prepares and review accounts receivable aging analysis on a weekly basis
- Follow-up on all delinquent accounts
Essential skills and attributes:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following
- Solid accounting background, preferably within a similar environment
- Degree qualified in accounting, business or commerce.
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Enjoy working both autonomously and in a team environment
- Resilient, able to work under pressure
- Experience with Sunsytems, Sage Micropay, Time Target and Opera is preferred
