Sea FM and Signature Staff worth $1.8 Million!
It’s no secret that Cairns is suffering from the worst unemployment numbers in over a decade – arguably the worst in Australia.
However 99.5 Sea FM was eager to do something about it rather than just point out the facts!
Together with Signature Staff and the assistance of ITEC Employment, Sea FM set out to find $1 Million worth of work for Cairns during the month of November.
We are happy to announce that over $1.8 million worth of work was found as part of the “Sea Fm Million Dollar Workforce” campaign. $800,000 in excess of our target!
Mats Eriksson from Signature staff said that “51 new positions were created by over 40 employers” this means that there were on average 2 new positions per day over the month of November.
Cairns Media Centre General Manager, Campbell Stewart said ” This is an amazing result for Cairns and goes to show what can happen when people take a proactive approach toward the regions problems. Sea Fm are particularly proud of this result and thankful for the great amount of effort and generosity of the Signature Staff team.”
