An opportunity has arisen for a Chief Engineer to manage the engineering department for an established, successful Aviation firm. This position will be based in Cairns.

You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that engineering works for aircraft are cost effective
- Overseeing maintenance, rebuilding, modification and repair of aircraft
- Overseeing the management of maintenance plans and schedules
- As a team member, delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders;
- Overseeing the evaluation and coordination of airworthiness issues, ensuring compliance with certification and regulatory airworthiness requirements
- Preparation of aircraft product requirements
- Managing & developing a team of engineers
To be successful in this role you will display:
- Professional qualifications in Avionic Engineering
- Extensive experience in major aircraft modifications and knowledge of modification processes and procedures
- Experience with rotor wing & fixed wing aircraft
